Who I Am

I am a results-focused UX Writing professional, who recently graduated and is currently looking for new opportunities to apply my expertise. I enjoy learning how to enhance why and how we interact in the writing world. I aspire to create content that not only engages audiences but impassions them with the stories that shape this industry.

I love collaborating with teams that come from different backgrounds, mindsets, and cultures that help me learn and become a more worldly writer. I spend time learning what I can from my peers and leaders and have worked with software engineers, project managers, non-profit directors, and various writers. Whether through my attention to detail or my enthusiasm for writing, I create content that is impactful and concise.

I was born and raised in El Paso, Tx. I studied Creative Writing at Carnegie Mellon University before pursuing a Master’s in Professional Writing. My time in Pittsburgh was well spent, old city charm combined with the energetic rise in tech was the perfect combination of the left and right brain. I am open to moving where the next adventure takes me.

Outside of a UX writer, I work on a fantasy novel I hope to publish – I am also an avid lover of poetry and reading. When I can I enjoy the outdoors to unwind.

If you’re curious about my name, it comes from a
Mexican mother and a Swedish/Dutch father.
My first name is pronounced with a Spanish accent — Ah n ah K ah - R EE - n ah

Do not go gentle into that good night,

Old age should burn and rave at close of day;

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
